Fossils and Rubber Discovered In South Newtown

One of the more interesting stop offs during a stroll down King Street in South Newtown is a quirky jewellery shop called Mink Schmink.

Mink Schmink designs a significant amount of jewellery under their own label, but also carry some fabulous designer brands such as Tatty Devine, Marzio Fiorini and Pilgrim.

You won't always discover a fossil while strolling in such an urban area, so have a look at this baby!

Truly an amazing piece from London's Tatty Devine.

Another brand to catch the eye is Brazilian designer Marzio Fiorini, who designs all his pieces to be made from recyclable rubber. Truly amazing pieces with the advantage of being so light and comfortable to wear.

Aaaaah King St, all we need now is a rubber fossil?

South Newtown.com

South Newtown is an exciting and vibrant area, starting at the famous old Newtown Station and covering all of King Street right down to St Peters station, next to the old brickworks at Sydney Park.

What is so special about it?

Well, we mostly have owner/operators of businesses in South Newtown, which means this is all we do. Hence we are passionate about our businesses, our product ranges, prices, customer service, our business culture and rapport with our customers.

Name anything from flowers, to coffee shops, restaurants, jewellery, furniture, high fashion, exotic lingerie, shoes, homewares, antiques, massage, vintage clothing, vinyl records, tiles, hairdressers and much much more, and you'll find it in South Newtown. You'll also find some great bargains when you compare us to other shopping strips.

For the 4 years I've been here I have been calling South Newtown "the best kept secret in the innwer west". And it still is, sadly.

Nowhere in Sydney is there a more vibrant shopping area with such a diverse range of products, while at the same time giving you the experience of such an artistic, eclectic and bohemian range of local characters and lovely old buildings.

Okay, so it's a cool place, how can I help?

Glad you asked!

Well, if you are already familiar with South Newtown and have a favorite shop, tell that shop to contact this site and have their business details added, for FREE! This will help promote not only your favorite business, but also this wonderful old area.
